A shift in your schedule can make a huge difference in your life.

It's the little things that can add up to small things over the course of a life. It's the rhythms of your daily life that can render the most important. Like when this worker was confronted with a schedule change that they didn't ask for, in a story from the antiwork subreddit. If you're a creature of habit, the smallest change in your lifestyle can have a ripple effect. If you're used to waking up at a certain time, arriving at work at a certain time, and leaving at a certain time, changing that can be a very strange thing. You've likely built your life around those patterns and behaviors, and you don't want to change them just because someone else told you to. Change when you're least expecting it can be tough. But it's part of life. Nothing stays the same way forever. If you can't change with the times, then you're going to be left behind. But not all change is created equal. Some change is inevitable. It comes at you, and there is nothing you can do about it. Then there is the change that other people impose on you without thinking of the consequences it will have in your life. Some bosses and managers do this often. They make a decision on behalf of the company or the team and fail to think about all the repercussions it will have down the line. They don't think about the human element, only the business element, and things get lost along the way.
